This isn’t just a standard CT5-V Blackwing, as this special edition also benefits from mechanical enhancements. With 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque, it becomes the most powerful vehicle in the history of the Blackwing lineup. For reference, a regular CT5-V Blackwing produces 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque.
That power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. In fact, this is the only transmission offered for this special edition. After all, driving enjoyment is what this car is all about. That’s also why each vehicle comes equipped with a Precision Package designed to improve track performance.
As is usually the case with this kind of machine, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features a very specific configuration with little to no room for additional options. The American automaker’s sports sedan is finished in black with a monochrome interior. It also features several carbon fiber elements, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Carbon Flash wheels. Of course, F1 logos can be found throughout the car.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is one of the last cars of its kind. A four-door sedan with a big front-mounted V8 and a manual transmission is something that simply isn’t done anymore. The F1 Collector Edition represents the ultimate expression of that concept, and it doesn’t just celebrate the CT5-V Blackwing—it celebrates all sedans of this kind. Pricing has yet to be announced, but we do know it will be offered exclusively in the United States and Canada.
